
Born in 1973 in Johor Bahru, Arham received his early education in Kota Bharu, Kelantan before completing his secondary education at Sekolah Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra (STMFP). After successful completion of his LL.B at Liverpool John Moores University in 1996, he became a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn and completed the Bar Final course with specialization in International Trade Law and Conflict of Laws. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister-at-Law of Lincoln’s Inn in 1997 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of High Court of Malaya on 6 November 1998.
Before joining this firm in August 2016, Arham was a partner at Messrs Azim Tunku Farik & Wong from January 2008 to June 2016. He started his legal career at Messrs Kumar Jaspal Quah & Aishah in November 1998. Arham was listed in “Malaysia Who’s Who Constitution Government & Politics”, the 2011 Edition and was involved as a judge in Harun M. Hashim Client Consultation Competition National Rounds in 2013 as well as LAWASIA International Mooting Competition National Rounds in 2016 (Malaysia).
An advocate and solicitor of more than 20 years’ standing, Arham has an extensive litigation experience and has appeared at all levels in the Malaysian Court. He was recently reported in the Court of Appeal decision in Lembaga Kemajuan Wilayah Kedah (Keda) v. Nur Dini Mohd Noh [2018] 4 CLJ 423. He was involved in Prima Nova Sdn Bhd v Affin Bank Berhad [2014] 9 CLJ 442 which is a landmark decision by the Court of Appeal on s.73A, Bills of Exchange Act 1949.
